I have been a member and networked with many organizations as a woman
business owner. Over the years, I have come to value most my
membership in BPW and have found the value in BPW to be threefold.
One, it is an excellent place to build connections with other business women that can lead to strong business relationships. Some examples are the techonology work we have done for Kathy Kelly's company, Personnel Profiles, Inc. and my relationship with Wendy Reynolds, Vectra Bank.
Second, my dues support legislation in DC to help fight for women's equity and self sufficiency as well as other women's legislative issues.
Third, I have made some really great friends with women whom I would not have met otherwise. There are so many examples but one that I would share is my great friendship with past president, Gretchen Minekime.
I see a trend, past and current BPW presidents and I seem to have lasting relationships...hmmm maybe you should consider running for office...
