Cindy Brown

Cindy joined Boulder BPW in 2007 after she, her co-director and her organization-Boulder Housing Partners were recognized as Program of the Year for their work on behalf of women employees and residents. Colorado BPW recognized Boulder Housing Partners as 2007 Employer of the Year.

Cindy has been co-director of Boulder Housing Partners for the last ten years, overseeing development of affordable and market rate housing. She has worked in planning and development of housing and transportation projects for 25 years in Boulder.

Last June, Cindy went part time to devote herself to writing. She has previously published “Lessons from Nature in healing, strength, and flexibility” and contributed to “Day Hikes in the Taos Area.” She is currently at work on a new book “The Girl’s Guide to Swagger.” The book was born of her experience learning how to be confident while working in fields dominated by men. She is also gathering the stories of other women who have learned how to have confidence at work and in other settings like sports, church, the classroom and relationships.
