BPW MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
Boulder BPW is a local chapter of
the National Federation of Business and Professional Women and
the Colorado Federation of Business and Professional Women. As a
member of Boulder BPW, you automatically become a member of
BPW/USA and BPW/Colorado. Boulder BPW supports the BPW/USA
mission statement and the BPW/Colorado legislative platform.
Boulder BPW is the largest BPW
local organization in Colorado, with approximately 175 active
members. Both women and men are welcome to join! Boulder BPW has
won numerous awards at the state level, and is fun, active and
rewarding at the local level. Our diverse membership includes
business owners, accountants, educators, graphic designers,
insurance agents, attorneys, artists, marketing consultants,
writers, health care professionals, students, and many others who
are employed or retired from profit-making.
BENEFITS OF JOINING BOULDER BPW
Being a BPW member offers many benefits. By
attending monthly programs, you can increase your business
contacts, friendships, and community involvement while keeping up
to date on topics of importance to women. One of the best ways to
find out what BPW is really about is by joining one of its many
teams. As a team member, you'll experience first hand the rich
diversity and talent of your fellow BPW members.
Contacts and Networking: Monthly meetings (normally the third Thursday);
active team participation; and annual membership directory.
Publications: Boulder Connections; The Colorado Business Woman;
and National Business Woman.
Community Service: Support of Boulder County Project Self-Sufficiency;
mentoring opportunities.
Information: National Government Relations and Issues Services;
Marguerite Rawalt Resource Center (one of the nation's largest libraries on working women's issues);
and Legislative Awareness Committee.
Personal and Professional Development: Scholarships and loans;
Individual Development Program;
Workshops at local, state, and national levels;
Monthly programs covering a variety of topics;
and Young Careerist Program.
Member Discounts: Personal and home equity loans;
insurance options;
travel, car rental, and credit card programs;
and group banking.
MEMBERSHIP DUES:
Annual membership dues are $109. Student memberships are $36. A
large portion of your dues goes to state and national BPW and to
producing the local Boulder BPW newsletter.
